Class Room Pledge

The children had a wonderful time discussing how we would help make our classroom a safe and nurturing place to learn. We appreciated hearing all the great suggestions that our preschoolers gave us to add to the list. It will proudly hang in our classroom. Here were a couple of their pieces of advice:

Kipton – “Make new Friends and put boogies in tissues”

Sophia- “Gentle Hands”

Aubrey- “Be Kind”

Emma “Help clean up the classroom”

We would love for you to come in and take a look!!

Dip Drip and Lip

Are you wondering about the title? The children have began learning that some words sound alike with our rhyming song. It was only fitting that during Art, Miss Liz had the children practice the best way to remove the excess paint from their paint brushes. It’s a catchy little rhyme, thank you Miss Liz for teaching us a fun way to remember how to take care of our paint brushes and supplies. We were also introduced to colorful glue/paint cups and construction paper that we tore into different shaped pieces to start creating a collage. We had an ooey gluey fun time!!

The children are doing a wonderful job becoming familiar with routine and being attentive to stories. The Day you Begin by Jacqueline Woodson and If I were the Teacher a Book About Class Rules by Dr.Ellen Vaughter were are two favorites for the week.

Everyone have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend with family and friends.

PS we love you!
