We want to thank everyone for coming to parents’ night.  It was so great to gather as adults on campus. We are glad you got the opportunity to see the classroom and things we’ve been working on. We encourage you to pop in more often! Come see us after parent coffee talks or on Fridays when you have the chance to walk your child to class.

The kiddos worked hard during kids in the kitchen this week.  They were tasked with preparing healthy snacks for parents night.  We decided on roasted red pepper dip and homemade pita chips. We hope you enjoyed it! We also took some time to talk about the food groups and discussed which foods belong where.

We have been letting our imaginations soar in writing time! The children have been showing us their creative side as they work on fiction pieces.  We will get into adjectives next week to help their stories explode with detail!

We are gearing up for our field trip! We spent this week using Oreos to study the phases of the moon.  We also had group discussions about what makes a star, a star.  We learned the word constellation.  The kiddos got to become astronomers and name and create their own constellations.  Following that activity we used paper towel tubes, black paper, and a flashlight to project constellations on the wall!

Have a great weekend! See you Monday
