Hello Preschool Families!

Last week we read the story “Bear Says Thanks” In the story Bear decides to throw a feast for he and his friends, but there is just one problem… his cupboards are bare! One by one his friends begin to arrive, each bringing a dish to share. Bear becomes sad that he has nothing to share, but wit the help of his friends he quickly learns that his friendship, storytelling and kindness are all they need and equally as important! While our preschoolers are young, they definitely don’t lack insight! The kiddos have spent the past two weeks talking about what they are grateful for and what matters most. This group of children already know that it isn’t about their toys, it isn’t about their “fast shoes”, but it’s about the people and love you share life with. We have been in awe listening to what they are thankful for. Good Job parents! Just like Bear we gathered with our friends for a warm and delicious Thanksgiving Feast to start our Thanksgiving break! There was music, there was laughter and there was so much to be grateful for! A special thank you to Miss Dodd, Mr. Cooper and Mrs. Cooper for such a delicious meal! Thank you also to the parents that volunteered!

Before the turkey is carved, before the heaping mound of mashed potatoes (or is that just us?) settles in your belly, before the pumpkin pie is sliced and the turkey coma sets in, we wanted to say thank you. Thank you for sharing the joy that is your children. How lucky are we that we have 22 faces that leave us feeling grateful EVERYDAY!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and we will see you Monday!
