  • English w/ Mr. Rouse – We started a read aloud this week to fill the time between now and Christmas. It’s called Crash by Jeremy Spinelli. We also workshopped professional letters in preparation for a assignment in which they would convince Santa to take them off of the Naughty List.
  • Pre-Algebra w/ Mrs. Boldrick – We spent the week practicing how to solve 2-step equations. They are still trying to check their work by plugging in their answer back into the equation. Next week, we’ll continue to practice this skill, while learning how to solve for a variable in volume and area equations.
  • Algebra w/ Mrs. Murray-
  • Music w/ Mrs. Chelsey – Students are continuing to rehearse and prepare for the Holiday Show – it’s going to be great!!!!
  • Science w/ Mrs. Farris – Students shared their presentations of connecting science to their passion. I learned from each of them and enjoyed learning more about each interest. To build on a few topics presented, we will be beginning a STEAM drone project! We are also beginning to prepare for The Plant the Moon Challenge that begins in January. We are currently “hiring” students to fill class roles. Candidates were interviewed and the class chose Tristian to lead the project.
  • Elective w/ Mrs. Boldrick – Design – The design class started cutting out and painting parts of their set pieces for the holiday show. We will finish these pieces by the end of next week. The students are excited to show off their work!Cultural cooking continued our studies of Mexican cuisine. This week we enjoyed sopaipillas and Mexican wedding cookies.
