Happy New Year, 2024!! We hope you all enjoyed your time with family and friends over Christmas break. The kiddos in Junior Kindergarten had a smooth transition back into play and learning here on campus! They shared what activities they did over break and how surprised and excited they were on Christmas morning.

We read the story,The Magical Yet, by Angela DiTerlizzi. The book was a great way to start the new year in a positive way. The junior kindergarten class was encouraged to embrace the idea that learning can be a journey, and it’s okay to face challenges along the way. So the children were asked, “What haven’t you learned about yet?” Their curiosity will give us a direction on what topics to explore next. Check out the fantastic ideas the children came up with:

“How do you ride a big bicycle? How do you make a house?” Gemma

“I’m gonna say when I get home, Hey Dad can I use my bike without training wheels? Well how do you turn a train on and off?” -Regina

“How do you build a boat?”- Savannah

“How do you make clouds?” -Hudson

“How do you make people? How do you make metal?”-Griffin

“How do you make skin?” -Pierce

“I haven’t learned about train?”-Isaac

“How to swim without floaties.” – Rowan

“I don’t know anything about signs. That’s a STOP sign.” – Caston

“How to make pancakes.” – Dermot

“More about monsters.” -Charlie

“How to bake or make cookies.” – Jackson

“How to ride a skateboard.” – Winston

“How flowers grow and how to make pretzels!” – Joanna

“How to cut apples with an apple cutter.” – Mia

“How to make flowers.” -Cora

We look forward to getting back into the swing of things in the new year!! Have a great weekend.
