Hello Preschool Families!

We have started on such a journey of interesting information about animals and their habitats. It started on Tuesday with a story titled A Home Can Be…The story explores different homes that animals create. and what provides comfort and shelter to each of the animals. Then the children were invited to participate in a habitat matching activity, animal number sequencing, and building provocations related to a variety of animals.

On Wednesday, we discussed animals in cold environments. We had so much fun playing in the “snow” with the animals in the “Arctic”. Using crisco and a rubber glove, we were able to see how blubber keeps the animals warm in arctic water.

We wrapped up this week by learning a fun Penguin dance and read the story If You Were a Penguin. We continued the fun with play dough and loose parts.

PS Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Airry, Miss Meredith, and Miss Arden
