Act Now: Limited Tickets for CELEBRATE!

Tickets for CELEBRATE  are in high demand! While I feel like a carnival barker, we are fully expecting to sell out within the week. How fitting that our “Standing in the Hall of Fame” event will be standing room only.

If you are unable to attend in person, please sell vacation raffle tickets featuring exciting destinations like Disney and more. Physical raffle tickets will be available soon, but you can get a head start by obtaining digital copies right here.

If you or a business would like to sponsor the event, there are still opportunities. Sponsorships are still available for $1,000. A $500 gift is also available to underwrite tickets for faculty and staff. As always, if you have questions, please contact Amelia Parsons at mparsons@wcdsedu.com.

Class Updates

  • Algebra w/ Mrs. Murray-We took a test on Chapter 4 on Tuesday.  The students performed very well.  We then began Chapter 5, Linear Functions.
  • Pre-Algebra w/ Mrs. Boldrick – The students worked very hard at finding the greatest common factor and least common multiple of two numbers. We also did a quick review of adding, subtracting, and multiplying positive and negative numbers. This made working with positive and negative fractions easier for them to understand.
  • Music w/ Mrs. Chelsey – This week we worked on getting creative lyric writing flowing. We did an exercise where students picked a song, and decided how to keep the story going by coming up with their own next verse. We also brainstormed about everyone’s individual experience at wcds and how we can start bringing that into the song we are writing together. We also decided on our melodies for our verses and chorus. Good stuff!!!!!
  • Elective w/Mrs. Boldrick – The design class presented their “redo” projects in class this week using “Shark Tank” style. The groups did a nice job creating models of their improved project.
