  • Valentine’s Day is coming up and we love celebrating the love we have for each other. If you would like your child to participate in passing out Valentines, they are invited to bring in a Valentine’s Box. Please make sure that their name is on it and a big enough opening to put all the goodies in. A list of names can be found here. Please send the boxes to school by Tuesday, February 13th. To help celebrate our love for each other, we will be gathering together for a little party. If you would like to sign-up for any of the items, you can find the sheet here.
  • March 2nd-11th β€“ Spring Break (March 11 classes resume at 10:00 am)

With our travel miles accumulating, we started the week off by creating some pages of our passports. Shhh, don’t tell anyone that we have been entering new countries without the proper identification. Using colored pencils, the students first drew their rendition of a world map. They were sure to include their signature at the bottom. We then made our “profile” page, including our names, birthplaces, issue dates, and where else we would like to travel. When we explained to them that a passport picture is usually a non-smiling face, we did not think that they would take it so seriously. Their passport photos would definitely pass inspection when submitting our applications! Our next steps for our passports include making stamps for each country and a cover…stay tuned!

Our measurement Math Centers continued this week, helping us finish up a very popular topic. Next week math will bring new concepts and ideas! We can hardly wait.

Have a great weekend,
Miss Claire and Miss Tylar
