Time’s a Tickin’!

Important Dates:

  • March 2nd- 10th Spring break!
  • March 23rd- CELEBRATE!

Another short but busy week! We had such a lovely time with our second graders this week. We are learning more and more about important black people from history and today. Our kiddos loved celebrating Frederick Douglass’s birthday on the 14th! In phonics, we learned that ow says “ow!” at the end of a word, before an n, l, or er, and in the word crowd. We are so impressed with how well they’ve picked up this sound! The seconds are ticking by as we continue working with clocks! We can now tell time all the way to the minute. We’ve even started making our own model clocks! We did a special Valentine’s Day social-emotional learning activity where the kiddos wrote love letters to themselves. We really want to encourage self-love in and out of the classroom. In deep dive, our kiddos are working with their groups to plan their human body system presentation. Of course, one of the most exciting parts of our week was the Valentine’s Day party on Wednesday. The kiddos were really spreading the love with their amazing Valentine’s boxes and gifts!

Have a great weekend!
