  • March 13 – Lego Robotics Contest! 1:00 pm in the Community Room. Families can watch on Livestream or come in person.
  • March 23 – CELEBRATE! Standing in the Hall of Fame! Buy your raffle tickets today! Your children were sent home with two, but if you need more just let us know!

Throughout the entire head of school search, the fifth graders acted as true campus leaders. We want to thank Isaac and Adley for giving campus tours to each of our three prospective head candidates! Miss Stephanie said they did an outstanding job! Throughout the weeks, the various heads were in our classroom not just touring, but picking the brains of the oldest children on main campus. Their questions were valid, their attention was great, and their leadership skills were unmatched. We are proud of the entire group for their help and seriousness through this process!

We hope everyone has a safe and healthy Spring Break! Don’t forget classes resume at 10:00 am on Monday the 10th!

Language Arts:

  • Completed our class novel “One Crazy Summer” on Friday
  • Continued writing poetry
  • Will begin “Because of Mr. Terupt” when we return from Spring Break. This was a book students purchased on their own.

  • Completed review on fractions and took assessment
  • Implemented an online review game and measurement tool called BODDLE!
  • Over Spring Break, encourage your child to play! It is individualized for each child to enhance math skills that they need. The games are fun, but in order to keep playing, they must answer math questions and practice their multiplication facts.

Lego Robotics:

Lego Robotics continues on into the third trimester until our competition is complete. After Robotics, we will begin our Weather Balloon Deep Dive! Students have only one practice left before the competition. We hope to see you either in person or on the live stream on December 13th at 1:00 pm!

Local Issues:

Students began a new Deep Dive with Mr. Jividen where the class will explore local issues and government throughout the Ohio Valley. Students began learning about the various wards in Wheeling and identifying the local government employees associated with their home. We will continue to explore local elections, environments, and issues that pertain to our area. We are looking forward to this deep dive with Coach Joe!
