What a fabulous jam packed week we spent together in SK! Monday we continued stamping pages in our passports and the process became even cooler the second time around. The students could not get over how the tape remains sticky even though we put it in water and honestly, neither could we! We love learning new things together and then using what we learn in our work. Our passports will be complete and our travel will be officially official before we know it. Math has opened up doors to Target, McDonalds, Chick-fil-A and so much more! We are really getting to know the value of a dollar… and a penny… and nickel… and a dime… and a quarter. We played buyer and seller where the students enjoyed selling anything from cars to counting bears. This inspired us to transform our classroom into a department store AND a restaurant. After some much needed rearranging and Spring cleaning our visions are coming to life. We’re still working on making menus, price tags, and collecting all the items to officially open up for business, but we fully expect to shop until we drop when we return!

Phonics brought us two new sight words, new sounds “ch” and “sh”, AND we continued to work on sentence structure. We are doing well to remember our finger spaces, uppercase letters for the first letter in the first word, and punctuation at the end. Everyone is working so hard and it shows in all we do. We couldn’t be more proud of these little readers and writers. This break is well deserved and whether your going to Disney World or sorting Pokemon cards at home we hope you make the most of it. The weather is expected to be as beautiful as all of you. Enjoy!!

See ya in a week!
