This year for our school-wide Spring Egg Hunt, we are asking for your help. If you are able to help, please send the filled eggs to school with your child by next Friday, March 22nd.

What wonderful weather we’ve had this week! The Spring sun has made its way to the valley which means we will be spending much more time outside, playing lots of games. This crew, or should we say team, is always ready for a good game and have proven themselves to be quite the sport experts. They know just about all there is to know about football, basketball, soccer, and even pickleball. With Celebrate approaching and its Hall of Fame theme, we couldn’t imagine a better time for them to show off their sportsy skills! Our auction piece is sure to have you BALLing from amazement and POPing out your wallets to bid. We cannot wait until this piece is completed and their vision is brought to life.

Our money makers have taken some TIME off to focus on… time! After reading Telling Time by Jules Older we briefly discussed what we know about time and what we want to learn. To our surprise, they already know quite a bit! Ask your kiddo if they can tell you how many seconds are in a minute. The end of the story even gave us a *little* (quite lengthy) poem to help us remember how long things take. We will continue to build on our knowledge of time next week. In phonics this week we learned the voiced and unvoiced “th” sound, reviewed our ever growing list of sight words, and continued to work on sentence structure. We even challenged them during our sentence writing activity! Ask your kiddo what you use at the end of a sentence when you’re asking a question… We know they won’t let you down with their response! Each and every day this crew amazes us with their creative, bright, abilities. You all are to be commended for the fabulous humans you’ve put into this world.

Have a great weekend!
