Hello Families,

The campus is alive again, buzzing with excitement as we finally return to our beloved classroom. The space is filled with energy and anticipation, ready to be the backdrop for countless adventures and discoveries. Even though SK is a new setting, seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones has brought smiles to everyone.

This week, the children have been hard at work transforming our classroom into their second home. They labeled their cubbies and painted their lunch rocks, adding a personal touch of color and creating special spots in the room to call their own.

We also read the story KINDergarten by Vera Ahiyya, where the author takes us on a journey with Leo, a quiet boy who has reservations about the start of school. Through the story, Leo and his classmates find ways to show kindness and create their own kindness pledges.

Inspired by the story, our own SK’ers came up with their classroom routines and shared their own ways of being kind to one another. Here on campus, we’re building a community where kindness and respect are at the heart of everything we do. The children came up with some great ideas:

“Asking for hugs.” Joanna

“Helping someone up.” Ellie/Winston/Nora/Hudson

“Helping others clean up”. Regina

“Putting a band-aid on someone.” Jackson/Savannah

“Ask if your OK.”Gemma

“Saying please.” Griffin

“Taking turns.” Makalya

“Sharing your toys.” Sawyer/Eileen

“Being nice to everyone.” Bradley

“Always have a smile.” Dylan

“Playing with a friend who needs afriend ot play with.” Mia

“Helping people carry something.” Edna

These small acts of ownership marks the beginning of their journey in SK. We look forward to seeing their faces light up as they step into a new year of growth and exploration!

Have a GREAT weekend
