IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT NEXT WEEK AT MIDDLE SCHOOL BELOW

Please have your student take a look at the menus for Avenue Eats and Wood Fire Pizza Company over the weekend. We are planning a special treat for them next week: lunch at the waterfront.  We will order ahead, and just like our Starbucks Days, we will have the 6th grade go on Tuesday (9/10), the 7th Grade on Wednesday (9/11), and the 8th Grade on Thursday (9/12).  Please send your child with enough money for their purchase on their designated day.

On Monday, we will walk the entire middle school to the Waterfront to see the USS LST-325 (the last fully operational WWII landing ship tank). We are excited for our students to tour the ship before it takes off for its next location.

We have sent home the Meat Raffle tickets for our Boots for Buses event with your child.  They are in their agendas in the front pocket, along with a flyer for the event.

Finally, please see information about our first trail ride for Deep Dive. Students should have a great understanding of the ABCs of biking.

Vaske Family Fundraiser September 15th

I am attaching one more flyer below. While it is not a WCDS event, it is a representative of what makes our community so special. The Vaske family has been involved with WCDS for nearly a decade. As an educator, I have never felt anything but support from this family, so I am asking you to return the favor if you are able. This event is not only to raise much needed funds as the Vaskes adjust to their new normal, but will show that our WCDS family has their backs.

Deep Dive w/ Mrs. Ochap and Mr. Jividen –

  • Upcoming Tests/Quizzes – No Tests or Quiz Scheduled
  • Next week, we will take our first bike ride for Deep Dive on Tuesday, September 10. The class will take advantage of being close to the Heritage Trail and start our first ride there.  We have asked the kids to make sure they do the ABC check on their bikes over the weekend so that we can be sure we are all ready to ride.  Please have your child bring their bike and helmet to school on Tuesday.  We will store the bikes in our branch campus across from where we are now.  This will ensure that they are safe and not around other people.  If you are ok with taking them back and forth with you, that is also fine. We plan on taking another ride on Thursday, so we didn’t want you to feel like you had to keep bringing them back.  Please reach out if you have any concerns or questions about our ride.

Science w/ Mrs. Farris –
