WCDS Middle Goes… North?

Important Dates/Updates

  • Please have your student take a look at the menus for Avenue Eats and Wood Fire Pizza Company over the weekend. We are planning a special treat for them next week: lunch at the waterfront.  We will order ahead, and just like our Starbucks Days, we will have the 6th grade go on Tuesday (9/10), the 7th Grade on Wednesday (9/11), and the 8th Grade on Thursday (9/12).  Please send your child with enough money for their purchase on their designated day.
  • On Monday, we will walk the entire middle school to the Waterfront to see the USS LST-325 (the last fully operational WWII landing ship tank). We are excited for our students to tour the ship before it takes off for its next location.
  • We have sent home the Meat Raffle tickets for our Boots for Buses event with your child.  They are in their agendas in the front pocket, along with a flyer for the event.

As you probably know, we wrapped up our first week at Northern. The kids made a seemingly seamless transition into the new space, and it’s good for the kids to get a look at a college campus. The weather was beautiful, and lunch in the courtyard has been wonderful. Also, the kids loved wellness at Northern’s gym!
