Dear Families,
This week in math, our students focused on regrouping twice with addition. In phonics, they explored the tricky vowel teams /au/ and /aw/, as seen in words like “sauce” and “hawk.” Our writing lessons sparked creativity as students began drafting their mythical creature stories—imagination was definitely in the air! We also introduced cursive writing; be sure to ask your child about the letter they learned this week. Additionally, we covered common and proper nouns and learning the key differences between the two.
A highlight of our week was our exciting trip to the Northern Branch Campus, where we visited the library. Students enjoyed creating their own stories with Ms. Sarah using story rocks and participated in a fun library scavenger hunt. We capped off our adventure with a visit to Independence Hall, our state’s first capital, which truly brought history to life for them!
Thank you for your continued support!
