IMPORTANT SCHOOL PHOTO INFORMATION
Parents,
Thank you for sharing your children and their wonderful smiles and personalities with me for Picture Day this year. We had rain, sun, humidity, cool air- and a ton of smiles. To view the photos and make a selection for printing please click the link below:

Once in the gallery, you will be able to navigate to your child’s grade and individual folder. Once inside their folder, please select ONE favorite image by hovering over the image and selecting the star. This will mark this image as your favorite. Please refrain from selecting multiple favorite images as only one will be printed with your package. You have until Monday, October 7th at 12:00 pm to select your favorite image. If you choose not to select an image, I will select the most natural pose for you.
Please note that these photos are only rough edited. Dirty faces and shirts will be fixed (within reason) once you select an image. Thanks!
If you have an immediate question, please contact me via call or text @ 740-296-9700
If your child was absent for picture day, the make-up day will be Thursday, October 10th. Thank you for trusting me with your wonderful kids!
Special Person’s Day is always such a magical day on campus. The sunbutter apple dip was a hit! It was also so fun watching everyone get creative making clothespin people. We love seeing the little ones spend quality time with the people they love most.
One of the highlights from this week was the children starting their Halloween spooky writings! This is alway a favorite! As the month progresses, we will sit around the “campfire” and share our stories aloud! The kiddos have also been working hard on their Flat Stanley books. Soon they will begin their paper bag book reports!
In math this week we started working on place value. We are using base ten blocks to build two-digit numbers and show their values. It’s important to be able to see a number quickly with a skill called subitizing, so there was a specific way the children learned to organize their blocks. We were already on to identifying numbers with just the representations of the blocks on paper and drawing them ourselves. Next week we will be comparing, ordering, and adding those two-digit numbers together.
Deep Dive allowed us another opportunity to talk about severe weather, disasters, and how to stay safe taking a look at landslides. The students created their own “tiny towns” with a hill of dirt, small rocks, sticks, and leaves. They tried their best to pack it all tightly, similar to how either tree and plant roots or a manmade structure can hold the land together, before ‘rain’ fell from the watering can. It’s amazing watching them think and work together.
We hope you have the best long fall weekend! See you soon!
