Hello 2nd grade families!
We all survived the Halloween madness! It was indeed madness, but also magical! The kiddos looked so great in their costumes and had an absolute blast. We prepared our own snacks for the party during Kids in the Kitchen. The pumpkin oatmeal cookies were a hit! We could have ridden the hay ride around the loop all day! Then the 5th graders created the best haunted house for us to crawl through, per usual.
We completed a few more rounds of Flat Stanley book reports. We’ll get to start literature circles soon! In math we worked on ordering numbers from least to greatest and greatest to least. Then we worked on adding three two-digit addends. We wrapped up any spooking stories with loose ends so we can begin new types of writings to kick off November. We’re also very excited to start a new deep dive. Stay tuned!
