Extra, Extra, Read All About It! Holiday Show Info. from Mr. Hill – We are excited for our holiday show, and the students have been working hard at work to learn their songs! Please have your child wear the outfit described BELOW, the night of the performance on 12/18 at 6:00pm. Children should show up at 5:30 and proceed to classrooms.
-3RD GRADE- “Holly Jolly Christmas” – red or green sweater or sweatshirt and dark pants. Holiday hat is optional.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
- We read the story “Boom Town” as students developed their comprehension and vocabulary skills. Students participated in academic and fun, hands-on stations and activities.
- Grammar focused on different types of nouns and phonics time was spent reviewing all the ways to spell the Long i sound.
MATH:
- Students began their “Multiplication Ninja” challenge; Each week students will complete classwork and homework to focus on each of their times tables. Facts covered were 0, 1, 2.
STEAM LAB:
Students began a Simple Machines unit. Levers were the first type we experimented with and enjoyed a hands-on creation activity.
GOODS & SERVICES:
Students were introduced to the terms “producer” and “consumer.” Students learned about the difference between the two and what roles they play in goods and services.
