We are excited about our holiday show, and the students have been working hard at work to learn their songs! Please have your child wear their outfits the night of the performance on 12/18 at 6:00 pm. Children should show up at 5:30 and proceed to classrooms. 2nd grade will be singing Jingle Bell Rock. They will need to wear holiday pajamas, and a hat is optional.
The week was filled with holiday magic! We started the week by learning how ea makes two sounds. We continued with our snowglobe writings and they are turning out beautifully! We have a little surprise that we will send home before break! In math we practiced addition and subtraction with regrouping mixed. It was difficult for the children to flip back and forth between operations, but with practice, it will get easier!
Wednesday was a dream! We spent quality time together playing games and just enjoying the magical holiday spirit. The snow put on quite a show and we got to go outside and play in it for recess! During kids in the kitchen, we made a (somewhat) healthy homemade hot chocolate for the kids to enjoy during Humphrey.
In deep dive we discussed gravity! The children loved this topic! We did several cool experiments. Ask them to show you a couple!
