Extra, Extra, Read All About It! Holiday Show Info. from Mr. Hill – We are excited for our holiday show, and the students have been hard at work to learn their songs! Please have your child wear the outfit described BELOW, the night of the performance, Wednesday 12/18 at 6:00pm. Children should show up at 5:30pm and proceed to classrooms.
-3RD GRADE- “Holly Jolly Christmas” – red or green sweater or sweatshirt and dark pants. Holiday hat is optional.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
- We read the story “Because of Winn-Dixie.” Students fell in love with the main characters Opal and Winn-Dixie and listened to their journey of friendship.
MATH:
- Students were introduced to their multiplication by 3s. Throughout the week, students “played” with math manipulatives like chips and dice. At the end of the week, every student accepted the challenge to tackle on their ninja belt for 3s.
STEAM LAB: Students experimented with a real-life pulley system! They even began crafting a pulley or a lever system with a partner! These kiddos were sure to be creative with what they designed!
GOODS & SERVICES: Students were introduced to the terms “supply” and “demand.” Students learned about the difference between the two and what roles they play in goods and services.
