  • Starting in the new year, our preschool class will begin having community snacks. This will be a fun way for the children to build independence, as they’ll help set the tables, prepare and distribute the snacks, and clean up afterward. We’re asking families to sign up to bring snacks for the class for one week. You will provide snacks for 20 students for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning snack times. Monday and Friday snacks, as well as afternoon snacks, will remain individual, as usual. Click to sign up for your family’s week. Thanks!
  • As the weather dips cooler, we ask that children come with attire to be outside as we try to get out at least for a few minutes each day.
  • Beforecare is available in the gym from 7:30- 8:20 and aftercare from 3:30-5:00.

A Look at Our Week:

What a magical week we had in preschool! Each day was filled with fun and wonder as the children explored exciting holiday-themed daily discovery stations. They wrapped presents at our gift-wrapping station, built with blocks and Christmas lights, and explored playdough tiny ornaments and twinkle lights. The joy was contagious!

We shared the heartwarming story of Otto the Ornament, learning that the true spirit of the holidays is about sharing, caring, kindness, and working together. During Spanish time, we read ‘Twas Nochebuena and discovered that while holidays in Spanish-speaking countries are similar to ours, they also have some special traditions, like fireworks on Christmas Eve. How fun is that?

Throughout the week, we worked on creating special Christmas gifts for our families. Be sure to check out the gift bags your child brought home! We wrapped up our week with a festive celebration: making “reindeer food” with oatmeal, glitter, and a Christmas wish to sprinkle on your lawn for the reindeer to guide them your way. We also made homemade hot cocoa, shared popcorn, and enjoyed a holiday movie together.

The true gift of this season is having the opportunity to spend our days with your little ones—it feels like Christmas every day! We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you in the New Year!

We hope you all have a beautiful holiday filled with love!
