Welcome back, friends! We loved sharing stories and catching up with each other. Then to our surprise, a winter wonderland to enjoy!

MLK Jr. Day of Service at Wheeling Country Day School embodies the spirit of community and action, inspiring students to make a difference in the lives of others. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'” This day reminds us that even the youngest among us can contribute meaningfully to building a better world.

This year, for MLK Day, the second grade will be going to the Brooke Hills Animal Hospital! We will be taking a bus and heading that way on Monday, January 27th.  More information will be coming soon!  In the meantime, we will be collecting blankets as well as cat and dog treats!

We had a blast playing outside in the snow on Friday. Please remember our school policy about wintry weather. Weather attire is necessary during the next couple of months. There’s no bad weather, just poor clothing choices! If you have gloves, you can touch it. If you have boots, you can walk in it. If you have pants, you can sit, roll, or slide in it!

See you next week!
