- Starting in the new year, our preschool class will begin having community snacks. This will be a fun way for the children to build independence, as they’ll help set the tables, prepare and distribute the snacks, and clean up afterward. We’re asking families to sign up to bring snacks for the class for one week. You will provide snacks for 20 students for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning snack times. Monday and Friday snacks, as well as afternoon snacks, will remain individual, as usual. Click to sign up for your family’s week. Thanks!
- As the weather dips cooler, we ask that children come with attire to be outside as we try to get out at least for a few minutes each day.
- Beforecare is available in the gym from 7:30- 8:20 and aftercare from 3:30-5:00.

Dear Preschool Families,
What better way to enjoy this weather during our days at school this week than to take our curious and enthusiastic selves outside. We bundled up to enjoy many exciting snow provocations.
The snow acted as a great canvas for us. We made snow art with water color paints, tracked our foot prints around our outdoor space to see where they would lead us. We read There was a Cold Lady who Swallowed Some Snow! While we were reading, we worked on listening to rhyming words within the story and how to follow a story’s sequence.
We made the most of our week by not only getting to play in the snow, but also getting innovative with it. Actually, we brought some snow inside. By using measuring cups, spoons, water color paint, and other provocation tools in our classroom, each of the kids were able to use their imagination to create their own snow project. Another table was set with ice and snow colored loose parts to set the stage for a snowy storytelling scene. It was exciting to watch them use their creativity!
The children also began creating their buttons for MLK service day and are excited to possibly purchase their own artwork during the button sale!
Enjoy the “snow” cute pictures of the week.
Have a nice weekend,
Miss Airry, Miss Meredith, Miss Arden
Outside Play & SNOW much more!
