Information pertaining to 3rd grade:

  • Weather attire is necessary during the next couple of months. There’s no bad weather, just poor clothing choices! If you have gloves, you can touch it. If you have boots, you can walk in it. If you have pants, you can sit, roll, or slide in it!
  • Martin Luther King Day of Service is quickly approaching! We will be making as many fleece tied blankets as we can and donating them to a local organization called Street Moms. **If you would like to contribute, fleece tied blanket kits can be purchased at almost any craft store. We will be collecting donations up until January 20th, the day we will be completing our project.

What a short but wonderful week! We kicked off with a fun field trip to Northern, where each student had the chance to explore the overflowing shelves at the Ohio County Library and select one book to bring back to school for independent reading. These books will be a great resource as we begin preparing for the Reading Bowl next Monday!

In math, we continued multiplying with 4 through independent practice and whole group games/activities.

Our Goods and Services unit is also in full swing! Each student has been assigned to a group, where they will learn how to assess product prices, understand supply and demand, create products by hand, and market them. This hands-on experience will help prepare us for our upcoming 3rd Grade Market Day (more details to come soon!).
