Our class Valentine’s party will be celebrated next Friday, Feb. 14th. Students may bring in a valentine box or bag that day. Thank you to the parents that donated the following items for the party- Knox-drinks, Aaron-healthy snack, Emmett- paper products and Grady-sweet treat!

We kept our learning chilly during our science deep dive on the Arctic. Students had fun exploring Arctic animals and their habitats as they travelled around the room to participate in centers such as building igloos from marshmallows, playing in snow bins and creating arctic animals from Play-Doh to name a few. The students also created a snowstorm in a bottle to study how snowstorms happen in the arctic.

We continue to hone our math skills with fun activities like “I have who has place value “ and +/- monster math! These daily practices help with our automaticity of facts! We are so proud of their tenacity and hard work. You can go to toytheater.com for some fun review activities in math!

We had visitors from Linsly on Thursday. Students from the 11th grade English class came and read books to our students! They talked about the importance of literacy and reading everyday! We love how this goes full circle as many of the visitors are WCDS alumn!

Have a wonderful long weekend and see you all Tuesday at 10:00AM!
