Lego Robotics:

Our Lego Robotics teams got a taste of the real competition this week with a mock competition designed to mirror what they’ll face on March 13. With a quiet room and all eyes on the table, students felt the pressure of having their programs ready to perform. While some groups were able to complete their challenges, many are still fine-tuning their coding to tackle every mission. The experience helped them understand the intensity of competition day and what it takes to stay focused under pressure. With just two weeks to go, the teams are working hard to finalize their programs. We’re excited to cheer them on when they compete live on YouTube — stay tuned for the link to watch their hard work in action!

Leadership:

This week, our fifth graders took a big step toward earning their on-campus internships by learning important interview skills! From practicing firm handshakes and making confident eye contact to perfecting their sitting posture, students engaged in hands-on lessons to prepare for the real world. They participated in mock interviews, learned how to dress for the job they wanted, and built their confidence in professional conversations. On Friday, they put their skills to the test in official interviews with Mrs. Rutherford. After Spring Break, they’ll find out which internships they’ve earned! These internships will take place every Friday from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. for the rest of the school year, giving students a chance to gain valuable experience and responsibility. We can’t wait to see them shine!

Have a safe and wonderful Spring Break!
