Hello Preschool families,

Welcome back spring breakers!! We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing time. The class was excited to share some of their fun times they had over break during our class meeting. We embraced the beautiful weather and took our learning adventures outside.

During music class, Miss Dena had the children choose an instrument to play in their parade they made around the amphitheater. You could hear rhythm sticks, tambourines, and shakers being played throughout the campus. Outdoor centers wrapped up our sunny Tuesday morning. The children enjoyed painting on acrylic frames, drawing pictures with sidewalk chalk, building with blocks, and moving their bodies using colorful streamers and ribbons in hand.

Celebrate good times!!! We are starting to celebrate in Preschool. The children had an introduction about our class’s collaborative art work piece for Celebrate. Drum roll….. Preschool through the Looking Glass.

Say Cheese! During Morning Discovery the children had a fun time taking pictures of themselves, friends, and classroom objects. We will be collecting the pictures and displaying a collage in the classroom. We started our Celebrate artwork with taking a look at ourselves in a mirror and then drawing what we saw in the mirror. The story The Reflection in Me is to encourage all children to look inside and love themselves just as they are.

The kiddos then gathered around the carpet with Miss Meredith with the hands at center of their heart and repeated affirmations:

“I am perfect”

“I am sparkly”

“I am smart

“I am friendly”

“I am gentle”

“I am brave”

“I am kind”

We loved seeing how confident they were in their affirmations, loving yourself is the first step in changing the world, and these children will do just that!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Airry, Miss Meredith, and Miss Arden
