  • On April 17th, the fifth-grade class will be hosting a Spring Egg Hunt for our PS-4th grade students on main campus. We have lots of plastic eggs from previous years but we need your help in gathering items to fill the eggs. If you are able to donate a dozen small toys, trinkets, stickers, or candy for the school, we would love to have them by Monday, April 14. Thank you in advance for your help in making this a special event for our students!

Dear Preschool Families,

We had a wonderful time sharing the baby books with our friends. The adventures these babies had going to playgrounds, eating ice cream, going to day care, playing in the sandbox, riding dirt bikes, celebrating family birthdays, enjoying spa days, car rides, going to a hotel, a trip to the zoo, going to church, bath time, and visiting family. It was so enjoyable to hear all the lovely stories about those precious babies.

We find it hard to believe it’s time to already start thinking about the end of the year provocations that will play a huge part in the preschool end of the year showcase.

On Wednesday, the class was asked; What is a museum? We read a story titled You Are My Work of Art by Sue Dicicco. They kissed their brains and shared what they thought they might “SEE” when walking through a museum. What better way to practice writing the letter S for the word See than with a hands- on provocation made up of sand, play dough, and colorful chalk on small chalk boards. We also made a word web for the letter S. The children did a great job thinking of a handful of words beginning with S. Great Job, Preschool!!

A special Thursday morning performance from Towngate Theater. We enjoyed the play Aesop’s Fables. The children listened to six fables with a valuable lesson at the end. The actors were fun and full of spirit. Thank you, Towngate performers.

It’s all things museum in preschool. We read The Museum of Everything by Lynne Rae Perkins. It let the children see and share ideas that they might like on display in their very own museum. In fact they have also started a rough draft about their museum. We already have some wonderful ideas. Stay tuned, it is going to be exciting adventures in the weeks to come.

PS Have a great weekend!
