📚 Phonics & Reading
Even though it was a short week, we still packed in a lot of learning! In phonics, students explored the suffix “-est”, which we use when comparing three or more things (for example: tall, taller, tallest). They also continued practicing spelling rules—and great news—they’re really starting to get the hang of it! Be sure to ask your child what new spelling tip they learned this week.

🔢 Math
We took things up a notch in math by diving into measurement conversions with a focus on linear measurement. Students are learning how to convert between inches, feet, and yards. It’s a challenging new skill, but they’re rising to the occasion. Try quizzing your kiddo—can they give you an example of a measurement conversion?

🪨 Science
This week we kicked off an exciting new deep dive into geology! Students began by learning the basics about rocks—what they are, how they’re formed, and the different types. This foundation will lead us into several fun, hands-on activities in the weeks ahead. Rock collecting, anyone?

🎉 Special Events of the Week
We wrapped up the week with tons of fun for Student Appreciation Week! The kiddos enjoyed a yogurt bar, a wild and wacky dress-up Wednesday, an ice cream social, and celebrated cultures from around the world during International Day. It was a week full of smiles, sweets, and school spirit!
