English w/ Mrs. McFadden –

  • Upcoming Tests/Quizzes – Aimsweb testing Wednesday/Thursday. Daily dose quiz Tuesday
  • We wrapped up our comma review.
  • Students enjoyed learning about monologues and then creating their own from the point of view of a character from a banned book.
  • In Ban This Book, the characters hatch a plan to create new covers for the banned books they are circulating so that no one will know what they are reading. We borrowed this idea and used Canva to create parody covers for banned books. They are so clever! We are going to hang them up in the hall and invite the other classes to try to guess what the original titles were.

Math w/ Mrs. McFadden

  • Students have become confident using the stereo microscopes and now understand their basic parts and functions.
  • The class has begun independent research projects, making the most of class time to research and start their presentations.
  • From slides and posters to infographics, students bring creativity and personal flair to their work, preparing to share their findings with the class next week.

Music w/Mrs. Chelsey –

  • This week we worked on solidifying the first half of our bucket drumming routine! The students are coming together as an ensemble, and it will be a great start to field day!!
  • The students presented their Radio Dramas today, and they were fantastic!!!! I am so very proud of their creativity and work they put into making these awesome sound stories they turned out to be!!!
  • We had our final journal prompt Friday, and I asked the students to reflect upon their journey in music this past year; how they grew, what they learned, etc. I have enjoyed reading their thoughts and stories shared each week. They will be bringing these home next week, so take a look at what they have written!
