What a beautiful start of the school year we had this week! As we prepared our classroom for your children, we knew that they would start to add a special sparkle to the space right from the start. The walls might still be empty, but the energy in the room quickly became one filled with curiosity and wonder. The students enjoyed exploring a variety of our materials, including play dough, our sensory bin, loose parts, and blocks. We saw intrigue from some of the students of the materials at the light table and house area, while others made colorful marks with crayons. They are already showing us what interests them and how they prefer to navigate their own learning. We cannot wait to see where their passions take us!
When we weren’t in the classroom, we did some exploring outside around our campus. The students took a walking tour of the upper courtyard, stopping to say hello to siblings and checking out the newly painted sensory path. We could not start the year without making a few visits to our playground where the kiddos took on some of the climbing structures, the swings, and the slides. It was so great having lots of children on the playground again, filling it with giggles and squeals of delight. It is a beautiful sound! Our new play space outside of our room, thanks to the Buck Family, is definitely going to be a popular spot. The kiddos climbed and slid not only themselves, but also buckets of balls and even the dinosaurs took a ride. We know it is going to add to our exploring this year!
We loved these beginning moments with your children and cannot wait to start our learning journey together. It is going to be a magical year!
Have a great weekend!
