- Friday, October 10– No sessions
- Friday, October 17th– normal sessions at our Northern classroom
- Friday, October 24th– Halloween Celebration on our main campus (normal times)- students are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes for some fun and trick-or-treating
It is always such a joyful time having both playgroups together, exploring and learning as one class. As each child takes on the different offered materials, I love seeing the simple interactions and new discoveries that are made. There were kiddos arranging and manipulating the small world items, quickly discovering that the moss and twine balls made for some excellent rolling. Our apple pie playdough was good enough to eat and made for yummy “treats” as they were shaped with cookie cutters and adorned with sticks and corks. Our sensory bin filled with dried chickpeas and small pinecones made for some good scooping and transferring between a variety of containers. At one point, it even became a boat for one our explorers! With Fall beginning to happen all around us, a table full of leaves, logs, buckeyes, and other nature items were carefully observed with little fingers and big eyes (with the help of magnifying lenses). There were rocks, logs, and bark painted with warm Fall-inspired colors at the Art center and acrylic Fall gems being arranged at the light table. Lastly, a plethora of giggles and brave moves were made as the students crawled their way through our wiggly tunnel and walked on the balance beam.
I will miss you all next week but I will see you soon! Thank you for a beautiful session today!
With love,
Miss Claire
