English w/ Mr. Rouse –
- Upcoming Tests/Quizzes- none.
- We covered in depth memoir style writing. We went over showing over telling, and I used different pieces of writing to illustrate how story crafting can be done.
- We are nearing the end of The Giver. I will show the movie after the final project. It is PG-13 if anybody is opposed to it. Mazer Runner by James Dashner is the next book- make sure your child has it.
Math w/ Mrs. Bishop –
- Upcoming Tests/Quizzes- Quiz next week on Order of Operations & the Coordinate Plane
- The kids did great this week with learning the rest of the laws of exponents.
- We reviewed the test that we took on Thursday. The test had a little bit of everything that we’ve learned so far this year.
- Next week, we will finish the last two sections of Chapter 1.

Deep Dive w/ Mrs. McFadden & Mrs. Wallace –
- In around the world we listened to student presentations on the countries of South America, and were visited by Mr. Fuentes who taught us about Chile

- This week we continued learning “Here Comes the Snow”!! We also played the theatre games “zip zap zop”, and “silent club”.
- Our music journal entry this week was “Do you play a musical instrument? If so, what do you like about it? If not, what instrument do you think you would like to wish you played?”
Elective –
- Cooking w/ Mrs. McFadden – Zucchini week part 3, in which we remember to put the flour in the zucchini brownies! Fried zucchini was a hit again, while zoodles were loved by none.
