Hello Preschool Families,

The time has arrived to reveal our classroom pumpkin during Vantoberfest, which is this Saturday at 6:00 pm on our campus. We hope to see you there! While you are enjoying the evening, please make sure to make a bid on our preschool pumpkin. Who knows, your family might be taking our masterpiece home. It’s not just a pumpkin, it’s a world of wonder.

Tiny hands and a huge imagination created the final decision for our pumpkin. Dinosaurs are marching across the pumpkin like explorers, colorful painted wooden leaves, buckeyes, and acorns adorn all sides. To add a pop of personality, they added pretty buttons to call it their own. Quite frankly, it’s a story only a preschooler could tell.

Fall vibes have found their way into our classroom this week. From cozy, inviting music during daily discovery to a light table activity with silk leaves, sticks, and halloween colored mini snap blocks. The fun didn’t stop there! We washed smaller-sized pumpkins for a future provocation, and enjoyed the smell of apple play-dough while creating unique sculptures with fall-themed loose parts.

To wrap up our week, we settled in to listen to a story titled I Like Pumpkins. Which led us to a pumpkin provocation. Each child picked their own pumpkin from the “classroom pumpkin patch” to paint. Once dry, they will be adding different loose parts to make each pumpkin a work of art. The children will be excited to take their pumpkin home to enjoy as a Fall decoration.

We hope to see you at Vantoberfest!

PS Have a wonderful weekend,

Miss Airry, Miss Meredith, and Miss Claire
