Science w/ Mrs. McKay –

  • Upcoming Tests/Quizzes – This week students did research on a constellation of their choice, identifying the stars in their constellations, type and magnitude. They also included history  and cultural meanings od their constellations.

SEL w/Mrs. Ochap –

  • This week our students are learning the ever-important skill of apologizing. Like any skill, we all need practice. While there is not necessarily one set way to apologize, we are teaching our students to first calm down, tell the person they are sorry for what they did and the harm they caused, and ask how to fix it (for older students, focusing on forgiveness and giving the other person time is also important). See if you can bring these
  • important steps into your home when your students (or you!) need to apologize.

Elective –Robotics – The students learned how to write a page in their engineering notebook. They also started building their first robot. They will use this robot to learn how to move and drive it with the controller.
