Monday – January 5 – Return to School – 8:30 am Start
As we approach our Holiday Show on Wednesday, students have been working diligently to learn their lines and are excited about the performance. To help everyone feel confident and ready, their only homework from now on is to practice their lines at home, focusing on knowing when it is their turn to speak and what to say without prompting. We also have an after-school rehearsal scheduled for Monday. The night of the show, December 17, students are permitted to go home after school, and are asked to return to the community room by 5:30 pm, ready to go in costume.
As we head into Winter Break, we’d love to celebrate the holiday show with a small after-party in our classroom on Thursday, December 18! We’re planning to celebrate wrapping the show with snacks, drinks, and a few fun, age-appropriate games. If you’re willing to donate any snacks, treats, or a simple board game for the class to enjoy, we would greatly appreciate it. We already have drinks covered! You may send in any donations with your child on Thursday.

On Monday, during SEL, we learned about apologizing and the steps to take when working through those feelings. After our lessons and skits, we went up to Senior Kindergarten and met with our Cougar Buddies! We spent the time reading to the SK students and are really looking forward to the rest of the year and this partnership!
On Friday, our class had a fun morning working with the Little Explorers and We-2 programs, where we dressed as elves, assisted with breakfast, played with the little ones, and spread lots of holiday cheer. We even had a surprise visit from Santa (a big thank you to Ethan for being such a great Santa!).
After that, we headed to the middle school to have lunch and observe some of their classes, which was an exciting glimpse of what lies ahead. We wrapped up the day with a stop at Starbucks and an afternoon of ice skating!
