On Monday, January 19th, our 5th grade students will participate in our school’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by volunteering at the Wheeling Soup Kitchen. This meaningful experience allows students to honor Dr. King’s legacy through service and giving back to our community. Students may dress down in casual clothing, preferably wearing WCDS apparel. They may choose to eat lunch at the soup kitchen or pack a lunch from home. On this day, 5th-grade students should be dropped off at West Virginia Northern – Branch Campus at 8:00 a.m., and pickup will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the same location. We will walk to and from the soup kitchen together from our Branch Campus.

We are excited to have Miss Reid back with us from Bethany College full-time this semester as she begins her official student teaching experience!
