A look inside Preschool,
We came together this week in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. to spread some kindness through the most unique, creative, and selfless ways. Starting with our fantastic button sale as we collaborated with JK and SK friends. We want to thank you for your support of donations that will benefit flood relief through the United Methodist Church. Then we focused our attention on spreading kindness and love around campus to faculty and staff. The children came up with several ideas of snacks, drinks, and sweets to make their day a little brighter.
SHAPE IT UP!
We had some creative time during provocations this week with a triangle shape. The children first had a chance to explore triangles through building with large foam pieces, constructing cone designs, and adding loose parts to wooden and taped triangle shapes on the floor.
We rolled, stamped, and traced triangles with paint, watercolors, and colored pencils. You could see the excitement of everyone using our triangle ramp to roll cars in paint, spray bottles to create a design on cloth using triangle shaped easels, and stamping triangles on paper to create a table runner.
All of those activities lead us on a hunt of shapes in our classroom. We searched high and low for shapes to sort, match, and count.
Drum Roll……… Our button sale totaled $338.00!!! We had amazing week! Thank you for your support.
