Overnight Field Trip to Gettysburg – end of April

We’re excited to share that the fifth graders will be taking an overnight field trip to Gettysburg from April 29–May 1 as an extension of their Civil War Deep Dive after Spring Break. Please mark your calendars now. The cost of the trip will be $50 per student, which covers the hotel, admission to museums and planned activities, and most meals. More details, including the full itinerary, will be shared as we get closer to the trip. We’re looking forward to a meaningful and memorable experience for our students!

Don’t forget to schedule a Middle School Student Shadow Day at WCDS Middle! This visit gives your child the opportunity to spend part of the day shadowing a middle school student, attending classes, meeting teachers, and experiencing a typical middle school schedule. Shadow days help students feel more confident and excited about the transition by giving them a firsthand look at what middle school life is like. If you are interested in scheduling a shadow day for your child, please reach out to Mrs. Ochap at cochap@wcdsedu.com
