*Students are invited to create and bring in Valentine boxes/bags and treats for a small gathering in the afternoon! We have 30 students in the class*

The snow and frigid cold temps tried to keep us down, but they were unsuccessful!! … kind of. While we would have loved to get our gloves into the glorious snow outside, we were so fortunate to be able to enjoy time together indoors. We’ve also been loving all of the pictures and videos you’ve been sharing with us of your adventures outside of the classroom! We were so pleased to see how many of you were able to make snow-cream and get outside despite the cold🍨
The week was short, but it was eventful!! We were able to wrap up a few more of our literature circles, continue working on 3 digit subtraction with regrouping twice, learning more about subjects and predicates (the who’s and the do’s), and of course more Humphrey! We were even able to make AND enjoy some delicious hot coco with our creative kids in the kitchen. Hopefully everyone kept their recipe card to make this warm treat at home, while the temperatures don’t look as cold for this week coming up, we’ve still got quite some time until Spring weather is upon us.
Next week will also be a little shorter as we will have our Winter Long Weekend starting with an early dismissal on Friday, but our learning will still prevail! We look forward to learning new concepts in math, creating new writing pieces, working on our Extreme Weather Deep Dives, and ❄️SNOW❄️ much more!!
