- March 11 @ 5:30 MS “Youth Show of Hands” Exhibition – River City/Heritage Center
- March 13th @ 8am – 8th grade field trip to Jamie Peck Production Studio
English w/ Mr. Rouse –
- Upcoming Tests/Quizzes- none.
- We finished our workshopping of the essays for Howl’s Moving Castle. We will be watching the movie when they come back from break.
- Students will need to have a copy of City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau when we return.
Math w/ Mrs. Bishop –
- Upcoming Tests/Quizzes- None
- We finished up our work with numbers in scientific notation this week. The kids are finishing up their test with all 4 main operations Friday. Working with numbers in scientific notation is not easy. I think they handled it well.
- Next we’re going to go back to 1-step, 2-step and multistep equations but this time the numbers will be decimals.

Deep Dive w/ Mr. K, Mrs. McFadden, Mrs. Ochap, Mr. Jividen –
- Join us on Wednesday, March 11, for an exciting Youth Show of Hands event! From 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at RiverCity, young participants will have the chance to share their ideas, showcase their talents, and make their voices heard in a fun and supportive environment. Admission is $5, which gets you a vote, so bring a friend and be part of an inspiring evening filled with creativity, confidence, and community with Wheeling Heritage and WCDS Middle!

- Upcoming Tests/Quizzes –
- This week 6th and 7th grade got to experience a short sound bath presentation Friday morning, given by the 8th grade. Their journal entry was to respond to this!
- We combined art and music in a short exercise that asks students to draw how the music sound/makes them feel/what thoughts come up as they listen to different songs.
